Potter Park Zoo's Website Comes Roaring Back

Potter Park Zoo has been in Lansing for over 90 years. It encompasses over 20 acres with over 500 animals representing 160 different species. They continue to promote education, conservation and research and a great family experience for the Greater Lansing area and beyond.

The Problem

The Zoo's current website was outdated both in content and visually but was also incredibly challenging to maintain. They needed a fresh makeover that would position the zoo as a cornerstone of the community and promote their community involvement. They also needed a more user focused design that would encourage visitor involvement and be engaging and fun.

The Solution

Artemis worked closely with the zoo to ensure a site that was not only eye-grabbing but was thoughtfully constructed to accomplish their goals. Heavily thematic, the new design focused in on giving a small taste of what the zoo is like and encouraged not only new visitors but family and friends who hadn't been there in a while. New events and features of the zoo became prominent as well as heavily focusing on visitor feedback and community engagement.
