Welcome to Stearns County

Stearns is one of the largest counties in Minnesota, long considered a tourism and commercial gateway due to its advantageous geographic position. The County website had been a success project that was ranked 6th by the Digital Counties Survey in
2009.

The Problem

Stearns county's previous web presence was severely dated both in terms of visuals and information. They wanted a way to architect the sites content in a way that would be easy for it's citizens or visitors to go through and for them to maintain. Most importantly they wanted their new site to reflect their history and services and those that might be interested in moving to the area.

The Solution

Artemis spent a lot of it's focus in research and architecture of the information. Planning was critical in order to engage users with rich relevant content surrounded by visually stunning design. Features like quick polls, video uploading, news and twitter feeds were also implemented for a more interactive experience. Artemis then designed a visually rich and professional new design around that content that helped bring relevant news and services up in priority and helped guide the user to the information they needed. Stearns county and it's residents have been thrilled with the results.
